Covid-19 Government Economic Response
JobKeeper Update: JobKeeper continues for now, however changes have been made.
The government announced that the JobKeeper wage subsidy will be reduced at the end of September to $1200 a fortnight for full-time workers and $750 for part-time workers.
The scheme is being extended for six months, until March 28 next year, but will be revised down further at the start of January to $1000 for full-time workers and $650 for part-time employees working 20 hours a week or less.

The Government announces the $130 billion JobKeeper payment.
The subsidy of $1,500 per fortnight per employee, administered by the ATO, will be paid to businesses that have experienced a downturn of more than 30% (50% for businesses over $1bn). The subsidy is paid in full to the employee.
The payments are made by the ATO in arrears to the employer - payments start in May.
